Conversion
Conversion means the moment somebody does the thing you wanted. Plain words, why it matters, and a real example from advertising work.
Short answer
Conversion means the moment somebody does the thing you wanted. It is the only number that connects advertising to money coming in. A sale, a signed-up trial, or a filled-in contact form can each be a conversion.

How Conversion works on Advoratise
A conversion here is a real record, not a signal: your shop reports the order through its connection, we match it to the clicks we already have, and the money moves. Nothing is estimated and nothing is modelled. If a report never arrives, we say the sale is unknown rather than guessing that one probably happened.
The mistake people make
Counting the same order twice because both the browser and the shop reported it. We de-duplicate on the order reference, which is exactly why the reference has to be sent — a missing one is the usual cause of a doubled figure.
What to look at next
A conversion only counts once your shop tells us about it, and that is what the connections page sets up.
Questions people ask
- What does Advoratise count as a conversion?
- Whatever the offer or booking says it pays for, reported by your own shop with an order reference and a value in euros.
- Is Conversion the same everywhere?
- The idea is, but the counting is not. Always check how a platform counts it before comparing two numbers.
- Do I need to understand this to use Advoratise?
- No. Every page explains itself in plain words, and this glossary is here only when you want the detail.
