Tell us an advert uses your work
If an advert on Advoratise uses your picture, video, music or writing without permission, tell us here. We switch the advert off while we check.

What happens after you send this
- We switch the advert off within 24 hours, so it stops being shown.
- We tell the advertiser and ask them to explain.
- A person reads both sides and decides. We write to you either way.
- Money the advert earned while your report was open is held, not paid out.
What could go wrong, and what stops it
Every problem below is stopped by a real check in the product, not by a promise.
Two advertisers book the same ad space for the same days.
Stopped before it is even madeIf we did nothing: One of them must be refunded, and the publisher looks unreliable.
What we do: Days are checked before a booking is made, and the database itself refuses a second live booking on overlapping days. Adding a new ad space is never blocked by this.
The same advertising content is paid for through several channels, publishers or affiliates.
Stopped before it is even madeIf we did nothing: We pay two or three times for one sale, every time, forever.
What we do: One page can only ever be booked by one channel, checked when the channel is created and again before money moves.
A file that pretends to be a picture actually carries code.
Stopped before it is even madeIf we did nothing: Visitors get attacked on a publisher's site and the publisher blames us.
What we do: Every upload is read from the inside; a file whose real type does not match, or that holds code, is refused.
An advert file is the wrong shape, too heavy or too long for the place it is booked into.
Stopped before it is even madeIf we did nothing: Broken adverts, refunds, and publishers dropping us.
What we do: Each file is measured against the real slot before it is accepted.
A brand's advert appears next to content it never wanted to be near.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: The advertiser leaves and tells others why.
What we do: Sensitive categories are excluded by profile, and a check runs before delivery.
An advert uses a picture, video, song or text that belongs to somebody else.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: Legal letters, court costs and damages, plus every euro we already paid out for it.
What we do: Every advert must say where its content came from and show a licence before it can run. Anything unclear is refused.
An advert makes a promise like "number one" or "guaranteed cure" that cannot be proven.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: Consumer authorities fine misleading adverts, and the platform is named alongside the advertiser.
What we do: Big promises are spotted in the advert's words and held for proof.
An advert shows a real person who never agreed to be in it.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: People can sue for using their face or name, and the fine grows with how many saw it.
What we do: Words that point at a real person stop the advert until a written agreement is shown.
Somebody uploads a free preview picture with a stock-library watermark instead of buying it.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: Stock libraries send automatic bills that are many times the normal price.
What we do: Preview and watermark words are refused outright — never sent to a person, never allowed through.
An advert uses another company's brand name or logo without permission.
Stopped before anyone sees itIf we did nothing: Brand owners can demand the advert stops and ask for the money it made.
What we do: Brand names in the advert's words are spotted and sent to a person before the advert can run.
Fake clicks and fake sales drain advertiser budgets.
Stopped before any money movesIf we did nothing: Refunds, angry advertisers, and money paid to cheats.
What we do: Repeat and machine-like behaviour is scored and blocked before a click is charged.
A commission is paid out and the sale is later cancelled or refunded.
Stopped before any money movesIf we did nothing: Money that can almost never be collected back.
What we do: Commissions are held for the advertiser's chosen waiting time and only released when the sale sticks.
Earnings paid to sellers in Europe are not reported as the law requires.
Stopped before any money movesIf we did nothing: Per-seller penalties and a blocked payout account.
What we do: Active earners are collected for reporting and payouts stop until their details are complete.
A rival sends a fake complaint just to switch off a working advert.
Watched all the timeIf we did nothing: Lost sales for an honest advertiser and lost trust in the platform.
What we do: A complaint with no name, no contact and no named work is refused before anything is switched off.
Personal details are shared or tracked without permission.
Watched all the timeIf we did nothing: Data-protection fines are a share of turnover, not a small fixed sum.
What we do: Tracking waits for the cookie choice, and the email handed to advertising tools is hashed by the tool itself.
Someone tells us their work was copied and nothing happens for weeks.
Watched all the timeIf we did nothing: Being slow turns a small complaint into our problem instead of the advertiser's.
What we do: A complete complaint stops the advert straight away, holds the money, and gives the advertiser a fixed time to answer.
