Commission

Commission means the share of a sale an affiliate earns. Plain words, why it matters, and a real example from advertising work.

Short answer

Commission means the share of a sale an affiliate earns. It is the affiliate's whole income, so how and when it is confirmed decides trust. Ten percent of a fifty euro order is a five euro commission.

How Commission works on Advoratise

The rate is written into the offer before anyone takes it on, in euros or as a percentage of the order value, and it never changes for work already done. A commission goes through three visible states: reported by the shop, confirmed after the return period, and paid after the hold. You can see which state each one is in.

The mistake people make

Reading reported commission as income. Until it is confirmed, it can still be cancelled by a return. Plan with the confirmed figure and treat the reported one as a forecast.

What to look at next

Every offer shows its rate and its confirmation time before you take it on.

Questions people ask

When is a commission actually mine?
When it is confirmed — after the advertiser's return period — and then paid once the hold ends.
Is Commission the same everywhere?
The idea is, but the counting is not. Always check how a platform counts it before comparing two numbers.
Do I need to understand this to use Advoratise?
No. Every page explains itself in plain words, and this glossary is here only when you want the detail.
