CPC
CPC means the price for one click on an advert. Plain words, why it matters, and a real example from advertising work.
Short answer
CPC means the price for one click on an advert. You pay only when somebody actually goes to your page, so a weak advert costs you less. If you spend one hundred euros and get two hundred clicks, your CPC is fifty cents.

How CPC works on Advoratise
Placements here are sold for a fixed price, not per click, so your cost per click is something you find out afterwards: the price you paid divided by the clicks the redirect counted. Those clicks are counted on our side, once per person per placement, and you can open the record behind the number.
The mistake people make
Treating a cheap click as a good click. A click from a niche newsletter that costs a euro often earns more than twenty ten-cent clicks from somewhere nobody was reading closely. Judge the cost per sale, not the cost per click.
What to look at next
Put your own click price and order value in and see what a campaign has to deliver to pay for itself.
Questions people ask
- Am I charged per click on Advoratise?
- No. You agree one price for the placement. Clicks are measured so you know what you got, not so we can bill you again.
- Is CPC the same everywhere?
- The idea is, but the counting is not. Always check how a platform counts it before comparing two numbers.
- Do I need to understand this to use Advoratise?
- No. Every page explains itself in plain words, and this glossary is here only when you want the detail.
